I wove two new tapestries, Tangerine Trees and Wallpaper in response to the exhibition title and brief.

Tangerine Trees is my own take on lyrics from The Beetles song Lucy In The Sky With Dimonds in the style of work by Peter Max, especially his pieces Adam Cosmo and Different Drummer.

Wallpaper is celebrating florals and home décor of the 60’s and the wallpaper boom.  The beginning the 1960’s saw new products and processes appear with the first pre-trimmed and ready-pasted papers becoming available. Do-it-yourself (DIY) went through huge growth and by the end of the 60’s machines had taking over from hand block printing wallpaper.

Both tapestries are woven in repurposed and secondhand fibres.
