Tapestry Landscapes: An Introduction to Blending

Join me at North Hertfordshire Museum for a mindful Saturday tapestry weaving workshop, where you will learn to blend fibres and weave your own landscape-inspired piece!

Date: Saturday, 26th September

Time: 11:00am – 2:30pm (Includes a 30-minute break for lunch and a stretch!)

Price: £40

Location: North Hertfordshire Museum, 14 Brand Street, Hitchin, SG5 1JE

In this workshop, I will guide you through simple blending and colour-changing techniques, teaching you how to mix fibres to create tonal changes and subtle colour transitions.

I will have a selection of landscape designs ready for you to choose from. You decide whether you want to weave the purple hues of a lavender field, meadows and mountains, or the deep blue sea. With looms prepared in advance, you can spend the session focusing entirely on the meditative rhythm of weaving your own unique tapestry.

Whether you have some weaving experience and want to explore weft blending techniques, or you are a complete beginner, this workshop is ideal for you.

Please note: This workshop is for adults and ages 16+. Tickets are available to purchase directly through North Hertfordshire Museum by following the button below where you will also find full details.
