Under The Microscope

Create a woven tapestry from an enlarged image. Maybe you love lichen and the natural world or wish to interpret rust or man-made pattern into a woven design.

We will begin the workshop with a selection of images (under the microscope) from which you can choose an area or idea to create a design before choosing from a selection of fibres and creating a small woven tapestry.

I will have a large selection of samples with me for you to choose the techniques and effects you wish to use in your piece and will help you plan and weave a small tapestry.

The workshop is suitable for weavers of all levels, even if you have never woven before but enjoy tactile and slow craft making.
