Art and Textile Workshops
I began delivering art classes to children in 1998 developing workshops suitable for children to explore their own creativity. These quickly led to a job developing out of school art clubs for ages 5-11 years. In 2001 I became the Education manager at Letchworth Arts Centre and was involved in setting up links and workshops with local schools, college and community groups.
I have continued to develop my own workshops taking them into mainstream school as well as working with children and adults with special educational needs. Working for the local college between 2003-2008 delivering textile courses for adults.
On returning to my weaving in 2017 I have had the opportunity to deliver more workshops to adults, working with The Letchworth Settlement delivering tapestry and textiles courses and workshops, and with the NOAH Enterprise to deliver their Creative Confidence course. I really enjoy passing on my skills, teaching tapestry weaving and constructed textiles.
I continue to run a variety of weaving and textile workshops and courses for adults and children.
