An exhibition of tapestries and woven art created by learners attending Lucy Sugden’s weaving courses and workshops at the Letchworth Settlement. Showcasing everything from the beginning samples to tapestries woven by learners with two years weaving experience and woven art created on one of workshops. This exhibition with delight and astound you.
Marvel at the talent and creative flair of the learners, who explore and develop their own ideas and preferred techniques on Lucy’s courses. Learn about woven tapestry, what it is, a brief history and how the process of passing weft over warp is versatile, adaptable, and addictive.
See how in just a few hours a piece of woven art can be created in Lucy’s one-off workshops.
Hosted in the Common Room at the Letchworth Settlement the exhibition is open to view during normal open hours:
9am – 4pm Monday – Thursday
9 -12.30 Fridays
Saturdays 10am – 12pm
(Closed for easter holiday 8th – 14th April)
Tea, coffee and light refreshments available and ample free parking onsite.
