Eco Weaving

I will be running this workshop again March 17th 2-5pm at The Contemporary Textiles Fair,

Landmark Arts Centre, Landmark Arts Centre, Ferry Road, Teddington, TW11 9NN

Join me to learn how to create a your own small woven artwork using simple woven tapestry techniques and your surplus yarn stash! Working on pre warped looms you will create woven images, these could be a simple meadow or landscape inspired piece, or you could simply learn woven tapestry techniques to create you’re own abstract sample. We will use a selection of fibres and yarns that are good quality second hand/surplus waste fibres.

Full details and booking on the Landmark Arts Centre website Click Here

Weaving with waste, A relaxed workshop where we will use waste materials such as fabric off cuts, ribbons, old buttons, wool, and cotton to list a few to weave your own wonderful woven art.

I’ll guide you through steps to form an idea for your piece, thinking about colour, texture, size, and shape before teaching the weaving techniques you require to create the piece you’ve designed.

Feedback from previous workshops

It was great to have the materials provided so that you could concentrate on techniques and playing with different colours!

I loved this activity I found it relaxing and a good chance to be creative.

Hi Lucy just wanted to say how brilliant it was this morning….thank you
